It's been forever

Here is a little preview of what I'm currently working on...I've been so busy since I've moved! Lots of paperwork, running around and enjoying my time here...but it's time to get back in the swing of things! I've started to work on the portfolio again. I'm also going to start taking French classes in a couple weeks at the Sorbonne which I'm really excited about! And I have a little surprise that I'm going to share in a couple weeks as well...say tuned!

it's been a while...

I just got my computer in France last Thursday...things have been pretty busy since I've arrived in Paris. Fun but busy as well! I'm going to start French classes in September if all goes well...and I'm going to start illustrating asap!

Au Revoir!

It was my last night out in the USA with my parents. I'll miss them so much.

Tomorrow I move to PARIS!!!

I'm leaving at 3:45. Everyone wish me luck! Can't wait to update this blog more often!

New Necklace

Yesterday I got this necklace from Jcrew on super sale! I love how it's chunky and looks like a lot of necklaces layered on top of each other. It's pretty heavy as well haha!

So sorry for the lack of posts. This is my last week in the United States. I'm moving to France on Thursday, July 1st. I also just shipped my Imac over there so I have to use my parent's computer in the meantime. I can't wait to get over there, get settled and start illustrating/designing again!

So, I know we aren't even half way through summer yet...but there is so much to look forward to with jcrew's fall 2010 collection! The first two looks are my favorite..but I would pretty much wear anything that Jenna Lyons puts together!

Sorry for the lack of posts...I've been SO busy. (Paris countdown: 2 weeks!) I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Luckily I got to squeeze in this illustration I've been working on. I think I'm still going to keep working on it but here's what I have so far. I hope you all enjoy. Also, thanks to all of my new followers!

Ballad Of...

Chicago!

I just got back from Chicago last week. My dad and I stayed there for 3 days. It was a lot of fun! We did the usual touristy things: had Gino's deep dish pizza, went to the shedd aquarium, walked the Magnificent Mile (which now has a ZARA!) and enjoyed Millennium park!

The real purpose of my visit though was to get my Visa for France....and it just came in the mail the other day!

Shading

Here are some pieces I did a while back. This was part of my process of shading and I later combined it with ink...but I think the shading alone is pretty interesting!

Graduation!!!

It's been four long years. Lots of memories. Lots of hard work. Graduation and the student exhibition opening night were two great days to say my final "see you later's" to people. I'm moving to Paris on July 1st and am very excited for what the future holds. Very excited to start my life with my boyfriend whom I met at CCS 4 years ago. But, there will always be a special place in my heart for a few of my closest friends and mentors from CCS. 

(The above picture is of my great teachers: Casey Wise (my perspective teacher), Erik Olson (my figure/painting teacher), Don Kilpatrick (my Senior Studio/ Independent study teacher) and Gil Ashby (head of the Illustration department). All really great guys who have taught me a lot!

But, a special thank you goes out to my mom and dad who have supported me every step of the way. Without them this wouldn't have been possible. 

Goodbye Detroit.

It's been fun while it's lasted...but I'm seriously ready to move on.
